Building your Facebook Live viewership is important if you want this platform to have a positive effect on your business. There are several ways you can do this. In this article, I will discuss four methods for growing your audience.

Grow Your Audience with Social Media Marketing

Anyone who follows your Facebook Page should be able to see your live content on their home feed. And happily, Facebook has mentioned that its algorithm puts live content above most other types of content.

Therefore, the easiest way to get more people to see your videos is to grow your page’s following. The way you do that is the same way you handle any social media marketing: By building your brand across multiple channels and making sure that you are consistently offering high-quality content and establishing yourself as an authority.

Use Facebook Ads to Grow Your Audience

If you have a budget – and know that your offers (whether free or paid) are converting at 10% or more — you can use Facebook Advertising to build more likes for your page. The best way to do this is with “CPA” or “Cost Per Action” campaign. This means you only pay when someone takes action through your advert and in this case, that can mean liking your page.

If you can work out how many of your followers see your video and how many of your viewers buy your products, you can then calculate a budget for your CPA ads and actually guarantee a good ROI. CPA combined with Facebook targeting is one of the very best ways to grow your audience.

Use the Right Description

Some people will watch your video because they got a notice that you were live. Others will click to watch it because they like what they’ve seen you deliver before. However, the best way to get people to watch your video is to have a compelling title and description.

Your goal is to make your video stand out and grab attention in a way that will make people curious. Two of the best ways to do this are:

  • Ask a question that you will answer in the video.
  • Name the most important benefit people will get from watching your video.

For example, if I did this post as a Facebook Live, here is a title and description that would attract people to watch it:

DESCRIPTION: Do you want more people to watch your Facebook live videos? In this video, I’ll cover four methods you can use to grow your following and increase views of your Facebook Lives.

Invite People to Follow

Yes, many people who will view your video already follow your page. However, some people will find your videos through friends or through the Facebook Live Map. So be sure to invite viewers to follow you. This can turn those first-time viewers into long-term fans. You might also encourage viewers to share your video so that even more people will see it.

Implement these four techniques and watch your Facebook Page following grow and the number of people watching your Facebook Lives increase.
