There will be times that you have to read a speech from a document. In this week’s video, I give you a few pointers on how to do it while still maintaining a connection with your audience.
Print the text large enough so you can read it without leaning into it to see it. Give it enough white space so it is easier to read.
Memorize the flow so that you don’t have to read every word. Practicing reading the speech can help quite a bit.
Use natural pauses to look up at your audience.
