Podcast Highlights
Length: 5 minutes, 28 seconds
“Like most professional speakers,” Arnoff says, “I started speaking for free. First locally, and then on a regional basis, and then on a national stage.” Eventually, after his book, The Three Rs of Employee Benefits: Recruiting, Retention, Rewards, came out, he worked toward being a professional speaker.
To become an innovative speaker, Arnoff suggests examining what your own “super powers” are and work on thinking outside the box. “What unique knowledge can you share that no one else knows?”
Arnoff’s Big Tip: Look at, “What does the public that you’re addressing really need?”

About the Public Speaking Super Powers Podcast Series
Carma Spence, the author of Public Speaking Super Powers, interviewed 80+ speakers as research for the book. This podcast shares those interviews so you can hear what the Featured Speakers said in their own words. This series will run twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, until all interviews are posted. Occasionally, a special edition with a new interview will be added to the mix.
