Why speakers should attend live events

Coming up I have some cool interviews with successful public speakers, much like the one I did with José. I shot many of these at live events I’ve attends. So, before I start sharing those interviews, I’d like to share with you three reasons why you should be attending live events:
 

 
To recap, speakers should be attending live events (ones they are not necessarily speaking at), so they can:

  1. always be learning or, as Stephen Covey says, “sharpening the saw.”
  2. learn by watching successful speakers ply their craft
  3. meet some awesome people who could be clients, referral partners and joint venture partners

    Great points, Carma. Watching speakers live is a very good way to improve your own speaking. I always learn something from all of them. And seeing them live is better than just watching a video online because you get the actual experience as an audience member.
