Being a voice coach, Nancy Daniels obviously believes in the power of your voice. But she is also an advocate of practicing so that your passion shines through. In this episode, she shares her thoughts and tips on how to improve your speaking voice and let your passion for your topic shine through.
Nancy Daniels’s Big Tip: Many “novice presenters are under the impression that they have to be someone that they are not,” says Daniels. “When in fact, I want you to be yourself up there. And that’s why I want it rehearsed, that you know what you’re going to be covering. You know your topic. You’re comfortable with your material. So that you can make eye contact with that audience, move your gaze throughout the room. Don’t just stare at an object on a wall.”
